The CJFE is a Canadian non-governmental organization that defends the rights of journalists and contributes to the development of media freedom throughout the world.

Matt B Media and the CJFE have been working together since early 2003 on fundraising and marketing materials aimed at creating a better public awareness of the CJFE's committed goals. In March 2003, Matt B Media provided poster and promotion design for the fundraising event 'Witness To War', featuring the film War Photographer. In April 2004, Matt B Media designed the visual campaign around the fundraising event Embedded in Baghdad, which showcased Sasha Trudeau's documentary of an Iraqi family on the eve of the American invasion. Blackett also lead the creative process for the CJFE's 2003 membership drive.

CHALLENGES: The CJFE's visual materials were outdated and in need of a creative infusion. The eye-catching promotional materials created by Matt B Media, and the success of the events, has convinced the CJFE staff that in order to compete in the non-profit sector they must focus their attention on compelling communication pieces.
