Since 1997, Blackett has worked with leading environmental groups to help bring much needed attention to their causes. Matt B Media created the logo and marketing materials for the national 2001 and 2002 Car Free Day campaigns managed by the Sierra Club of Canada. Visual identity and outreach materials have been developed for the Ontario Environment Network, as well as event poster designs for the Toronto Environmental Alliance and Rocket Riders, a transit users' group.

CHALLENGES: Most of the issues environmental groups focus on are complex, and can be approached from many different angles. With each of the enviro group projects, Matt B Media was able to produce a campaign that let the visuals communicate the message. As well, two of the most common challenges with enviro NGOs is a limited budget and finding materials that do not contradict with the philosophies of the organization. Matt B Media was able to find printers that shared similar concerns, and could supply paper stock that was either 100% post-consumer or tree-free -- and the costs didn't break the bank.
